* hi. =k ps - turns out I went with one of Charlotte's posting methods, just write a bunch of shit and then put the pictures afterward. Of course, I might change my mind halfway through since I made this observation only on the second day. Also hooray this post only took me like three hours! New Record! KAC *

We slept until 1, like bosses, cause we
were up until like 4:30 after seeing Tyler; I think we just kinda
hung out a little and whatever either played video games or read.
That was nice. Anyway, we slowly got up and then went to Panera for
wifi and had Chipotle for dinner cause fuck yeah Chipotle. Also we
could see it from the Panera.

We planned out January this day and
after a snack of some Polish vegetable (also apples and eggs) salad
with crackers, we headed to Kayla's party in Jim Thorpe, PA. Her
boyfriend Talon has a pretty sweet property they're having remodeled.
There's gonna be an addition, nice stairs put in, and eventually a
rock wall under the addition (I'm obviously really jealous but it's also
awesome to see two great people getting cool shit done in their
lives). I finally got to meet some of Charlotte's old friends which
was really nice. Two of her friends are like the equivalent of Tyler
and David for me, quite an interesting parallel. We had some drinks
and stuff (fucking great pizza Talon brought back), they played wall ball (I was still too nervous/embarrassed
to really do anything like that with them, and I also didn't want to potentially get hurt o:) but I ended up playing hacky sack with them AND I SUCKED. Later in
the night we went out to the (mostly frozen) lake after a little bit
of a bonfire and I got to hear my favorite sound again! There were
fist-sized rocks on the shore and I threw some high up and onto the
frozen water. The sound produced is really cool, especially when the
lake is very frozen (like it was in the middle of winter in upstate
New York when I discovered this sound like last year or two years ago
or whenever the fuck it was). Anyway, yeah it was nice. We slept over
and went to sleep kinda early cause there were workers coming the
next day to get some shit done and Kayla and Talon had to finish
packing for his brother's wedding in New Zealand.
|
Charlotte excited to see Valerie even sooner than we hoped. Also, safety dance. |
|
SAĆATKA! |
|
Driving through PA wooo. |
|
Nearing Jim Thorpe and also a big mountain! |
|
Why go over when you can go under? Just Cause. |
|
Everyone was fooled by that door at the top of the stairs - it's not a door! IT'S A REAL FAKE DOOR! |
|
Rock wall's gonna go under there. |
|
If you were drunk enough maybe you (would believe you) could spit to the lake from the balcony. |
|
Check out those toothbrushes! |
|
Itsa me, Mario! |
|
That's where we slept! Near a bean bag that is the equivalent of like four people. |
:;120 (WeD 28th)
So we had breakfast at a cool place
along the road with all the friends together. We all parted ways and
we headed back to the apartment we get to stay in (which again is
pretty great, having a home base to ourselves to spread all of our
shit out in and slowly go through everything, repacking and
reorganizing, is really nice. Thanks Janet and James!). Before getting
back, we went to a grocery store to get some broccoli and shit (actually I don't think we got anything else... maybe milk) to eat
that night for dinner. I carved a little at the apartment, just
finishing up the final piece of my family's christmas utensil set
(Spearoon 2). We hung out with Ian soon after getting back and that's
when I finally finished the spoon. We had a nice dinner of pierogi,
broccoli, and mushrooms (pierogi and mushrooms all homemade from my
parents. Leftovers from Christmas Eve dinner, so good). We went to
Panera for wifi again and took Ian along. Hopefully he wasn't too
bored as I ended up playing Terraria and Charlotte was planning some
shit and paying bills online.
|
The Spearoon 2, just about complete. |
|
I'm proud of the smoothness of this hole hehe. It's shiny and I didn't even spit in it! |
|
That's Panera. I'm branching out with my bathroom pic(king my nose)tures. |
;:121 (TurD 29)
Woke up a little late as we have been
lately and I rushed to get my shit together so we could go watch La
La Land at like noon. That was a pretty good movie though I didn't
like it so much at the time because I don't like being sad (I've been
sad long enough in my life and I just kinda get mad when something is
making me sad. I was depressed from middle school, get that sad shit
out of here. This sometimes makes Charlotte think I'm a robot).
|
It fucking snowed. |
|
Fuck this. |
Anyway, yeah good movie, nice pretty things with the cameras and colors and whatever. Okay. After that we went to get some sweet ass Tuscan garlic bread from Wegmans to take to her friend Laura's for dinner. She's the one Charlotte went on a cruise to Alaska with before meeting me and it was great to finally get to meet her and her boyfriend, Zach! We had some slow cooker lasagna he made for us all which turned out deliciously and then proceeded to drink.
A lot.
|
At Laura's, carrying an invisible pizza? |
|
Tiny cat! |
|
Those two together taste like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Also that's Laura! |
|
TINY CATS BATTLE |
|
Can you taste the shipwreck? |
|
We got quite drunk. |
|
Hoowee. |
It was a great time.
We spent like an hour on the phone with Henry, that was hilarious and wonderful! Afterward, Laura already missed him. It's almost like we're now on a crusade to get everyone to meet Henry cause he's so great.
|
Zach and Laura trying to make the bed for us. |
|
Look, it's the multidick dance! |
|
We decided to just finish the last bottle of wine. |
;,122 (Fries 30)
We woke up and finally got up the next
morning (I woke up several times and kept being quite dizzy and also
no one else was up so I kept falling asleep) and all felt kinda
shitty but it was still morning so that was a plus I guess. Laura and
Zach made delicious breakfast and we all ate which was good.
|
Almost 20 beers and 3 1/2 bottles of wine. We did a good job. |
We drank some more water throughout the morning and Charlotte and I ended up playing Yahtzee while we waited for time to pass. Eventually we left and went to lunch with Mr. B! He's an old friend of Charlotte's who she continues to keep in touch and have lunches/dinners with. We went to an Indian place called Biryani City in Allentown and had delicious delicious food. So much that we had plenty of leftovers. Charlotte was the only one who thought to take a picture – I just dug in and ate a little bit of everything.
|
Disclaimer: it was not an actual city. |
|
Biryani is the rice dish in the middle. This was a lunch platter. |
After lunch we went back to the apartment and started going through some of the shit we have in our bags and car and whatever. We were going to hang out with another friend of Charlotte's after he got out of work (around 5) but at like 4:30 we fell asleep. It was about 6 when I looked at my phone... Well it turned out that he also fell asleep after working like 12 hours that day so we didn't end up hanging out but it was probably a much needed nap all around. So we just kinda hung out that evening.
:.123 (Sitting 31 hello)
New Year's Eve woo oh yeaah whatever
who gives a shit it's just another day. I don't even want to
capitalize it anymore.
We went over Charlotte's dad's house
around 5 to spend new year's with him which was great – he said for
us to be prepared to eat a lot of food and we were so ready.

|
HELLO. |
The
first thing we had were just snacks cause we were a little hungry but
soon after we made deviled eggs and devoured just about all of them.
Tom got started making aroncini balls which were so fucking delicious
we are definitely getting a deep frier as one of the first things we
buy when we have an apartment and money for shit.
|
Aroncini, stuffed with spinach, fried prosciutto, manchego and mozzarella cheeses, maybe also parmesan... and of course rice. Breaded and deep fried deliciousness. Could've been served at a restaurant. |
I unfortunately was apparently allergic
to either the cats or something else in the house which is stupid and
annoying and happens randomly – I wouldn't say that I'm allergic to
cats but then sometimes I am. So I don't know exactly what it was but
that happened. So by the time we had dinner, around 1:30, my face had
been running for like 4 hours. Still had a nice time, hanging out in
the brand new kitchen that Tom built almost entirely by
himself for probably a fifth of what a contractor would've charged.
|
This picture doesn't do those lights justice (they're smoky and fit everything else so well), but that counter is where we sat all night, it was perfect. |
|
Tom sent me these pictures the next day cause I was too wrapped up in food and then allergies to remember to take pictures of the fantastic kitchen. He really did a great job finishing it. |
Dinner was also delicious – we had
steaks and chantilly potatoes and carrots with a bernaise sauce.
Wonderfully delicious. After that Tom mixed some egg nog and whiskey
which was also delicious – never had that combination before. Out
of a concern for my allergies, though, Charlotte decided that we
should just go back to the apartment. Who knows if I would have been
able to fall asleep even. I really appreciated it and ended up
sleeping pretty well considering how garbage-like I felt before we
left Tom's.
.;124 (Sunny Ja 1street)
I woke up and still felt like I had
allergies or something which was stupid. Charlotte suggested a shower
which I took but then still actually just felt sick. That was stupid.
I had been taking generic Target zicam for a full day (made sure I
took it even at Tom's house) but alas, it wasn't enough. Even
delicious leftover aroncini wasn't enough to make me feel better. We
also did some exercises in the morning of new year's eve, cause we've
been lazy fucks lately, so I (we) was (were but I'm talking about
myself goddamnit) also quite sore from that, so I guess my body was
just like okay fuck you I can't deal with germs and muscles at the
same time, you're just gonna be miserable. So I loaded up on drugs
and rubbed essential oils all up in my nose (thanks mom!) and just
kinda sat around most of the day.
|
Two balls for breakfast! |
We did actually go through some of our
shit which was nice – looked through all of the food we now have,
reorganized some of that shit (took tea out of boxes and put them in
bags, also I took the rest of the pills out of bottles and did all of
that (thanks for the small bags, mom!) and we picked some snacks to
eat immediately cause Charlotte was clearly fiending when my mom
offered to give us some snacks (we got a big bag full of food from my
parents)). I also went through my little shit boxes. One was meant to
be mostly just car shit and like.. other.. crap really I guess. Then
I had a tool box which was also like half just little shit box. So I
combined those two (getting rid of a couple things and just taking
out a spare car jack I had from when I crashed my Civic) from the
bigger box. I bagged like tools together, got one little shit bag
(there are like office supplies, clothespins, tiny postits...), and
managed to fit all the shit into the one container which was very
nice. Now I have a little plastic container for finished utensils and
like current projects! Unfortunately it won't fit lots of wood and
actually some of my current carving projects are just too big which is
unfortunate but whatever. It's also a place I'm gonna be keeping
tools I use for carving cause that shit's been all scattered around
lately. Now I have a little container (okay sorry I'm going on about
this for a really long time but I'm sick and as excited as I can be
while I'm sick and just typing because I don't wanna deal with
organizing pictures on blogger cause the way they deal with pictures
is stupid and annoying and I just want the post to be done already)
that I have my morakniv, my hook knife, and any future tools I make
(once I finally have a place to try blacksmithing) will go.
Soooo
yeah. After all that organizing, we finally just sat around, ate the
leftover Indian food and I watched The Big Short with Charlotte,
pausing Terraria for food. After that movie was over I went back to
video games, of course, and eventually we went to bed, reading a
little bit. No, I lied, we watched an episode of Deadwood and then
tried sleep. Well, it didn't work for either of us, especially me
because I got terrified of death again which is always a good time.
Just wonderful. I actually dove right into it because I guess I'm
really trying to work out exactly what the fuck that shit is all
about for me. So far I know it extends to a fear of any kind of
mental disability, but then I really like get so terrified that my
mind goes black and if I'm also trying to sleep then my whole body
will actually twitch like it did this night. Well I ended up thinking
about carving and getting better at that and eventually using more
and more tools, more power tools, and imagined one day maybe being
able to write a computer program and having a spoon carved for me
(just cause it's possible). So that was kinda comforting, I realized
that life has to be my anti-death (like that stupid anti-drug
commercial campaign, but not stupid cause it's death which is worse
than drugs), and that art is the fullest extent of life so
reaffirming my belief that living an artful life is the best kind of
life. It's also just necessary for me cause you know the whole
deathphobia... I should look up the name of that.
Expirophobia?
Mortiphobia?
Fuhgeddaboudit.
