I Can Show You The World

*It's Char, yeah Aladdin*

Day 139 (Monday, January 16th)

Karol started his day off with a Mickey Mouse waffle

SURPRISE WE WENT TO DISNEY WORLD AND UNIVERSAL STUDIOS!

It was awesome. Karol and I talked about going in the future, but we were going to visit my mom in Florida anyway, so why not just do it? We were planning to visit Henry once more on the way back south so kidnapping him was no biggie. Anyway, today was Disney, and we started at Hollywood Studios. Lines were pretty long, but we managed to do The Great Movie Ride, Tower of Terror, Muppet Vision 3D, and the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster. During lunch, we met this really nice couple who offered us the extra space at their table when we were about to sit on a little wall thing. They told us about the Disney World App so you can check wait times without having to walk all the way to the ride (it also gives you GPS directions woo =k). We also saw they had a packed lunch and I assumed they wouldn't let you bring food in, but I guess I was wrong.

Waitin' for the shuttle! Henry still didn't know where we were going at this point hahaha

WE HAVE ARRIVED

We were immediately charged by Storm Troopers

Then we wandered around Epcot until closing. We went on one ride there, I think it was...Space...something...I don't remember haha. But then we just walked through the different countries and had some Shawarma in Morocco and watched the awesome end of the night light show.

Day 140 (Tuesday, January 17th)

Disney Day 2, Magic Kingdom first. We took the ferry over because something was up with the monorail.

On the way to the castle

We silly

Ta Da!

Tomorrowland

We did the Buzz Lightyear ride first because I remembered that one being awesome. Karol and I got in a car that didn't work at first...so we told them at the end (after I pouted for most of the ride =k) and they let us go again. They stopped the ride because I thought they put us in another broken one so I jumped out, but it turns out they were right and I went right back into the non functioning car, haha, I almost got us kicked out of Disney World hooray. The pictures from this ride are amazing.

HAHAHAHA Henry is just like "I got this"

Karol...just...yes....hahahaha... I'm super into it

Next was Space Mountain followed by Haunted Mansion; Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor; and Pirates of the Caribbean. Oh yeah and we brought food this time and also whiskey and ginger ale in a water bottle which made things even more awesome. Gettin' tipsy in Disney and not spending $50 on each meal (except still not eating the sandwiches cause we bought other shit wooo =k).

In line for Space Mountain Henry was hungry

Just...yeah

Then we took the shuttle to Animal Kingdom (sunset photo was taken on the shuttle). We were only going to have roughly an hour until closing, but it ended up being the perfect end to the night. No one was there. We did 3 rides in that hour, plus had drinks and popcorn. The rides were awesome on top of that: DINOSAUR, Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain, and It's Tough to be a Bug! All so good, my favorite was definitely the Everest one. It was a roller coaster that took you forward and backward (it paused at the top while tracks were switched behind you, so you took a different path backwards =k) and then there was like a crazy Yeti thing at the end, it was incredible, especially since it was night time. We tried Uber because we didn't want to wait for our shuttle that was going to come much later. I never used it before, and holy shit, it's amazing.

DINOSAUR

YEAH LET'S DO THIS

hahahahahaha KAROL

Honorary bugs we are

THEN WHEN WE GOT TO THE HOTEL MY SISTER WAS THERE. Such a great night. We went to get Thai food, a place called Thai Thani, where the food was amazing, plus we had an awesome waiter who was completely tolerant of and even seemed to enjoy Henry's gay jokes. We got tipsy and passed out, having to get up early-ish to catch the shuttle to UNIVERSAL STUDIOS OHHHHH YEAHHHHH.

Gangstas

SEEEEEESTER

I LOVE YOU VALERIE

Day 141 (Wednesday, January 18th)

Alright so lines were so much less of a wait here than Disney, we hit a lot of rides and I don't remember the order: E.T., Men in Black, Rip Ride Rockit, Revenge of the Mummy, Shrek 4-D, Terminator, Transformers, Despicable Me...and of course FUCKING HARRY POTTER AND THE ESCAPE FROM GRINGOTTS. I feel like we did Diagon Alley and the Gringotts ride either first thing or maybe we did one ride before it...not sure. Oh we had some beers at Moe's (and I managed to get drunk somehow =k) before we went to the Harry Potter World part. That was fun. We got some good pictures there.

yessssssss

Moe's

Selfies of selfies of selfies of selfies, cause that's what (white =k) people do

Artsiest bathroom pic yet

Anyway Harry Potter World was magical. My life is a little more complete having been there, and I would seriously live there if I could. Escape from Gringotts was one of the best rides I've ever been on. We hung around Diagon Alley for a while because we all loved it so much. We tried the butter beer and another whiskey drink and also got some candy from Honeyduke's.

I'm so excited

This more accurately sums up how amazing this place was

Then we did lots of the other rides I mentioned above, oh and I forgot there was a Fear Factor Live show we went to that was pretty cool.

Oh man this ride was amazing, completely vertical going up and mostly vertical going down, also you get to choose music for the ride which was crazy

Shrek 4-D

Optimus Prime

O.P. again

BANANA

I don't remember what we did for dinner, but I do know our shuttle missed us so we had to get another Uber (my new favorite thing (except that they were scabby shitheads during the taxi strike in NYC, trying to make money despite the protest against the immigration ban, so fuck Uber =k)) to get back to the hotel. THEN IT WAS TIME TO PICK UP TYLER FROM THE AIRPORT BECAUSE HOLY SHIT EVERYONE CAME TO FLORIDA. So awesome. We had some drinks and played with the Bertie Bott's Every Flavored Beans.

We played where you had to pick two randomly, and once we got low on gross ones we hand picked for each other hahahaha

Day 142 (Thursday, January 19th)

Vawwee

Val got us all fanny packs hahahaha and this guy took a a picture of us, not at all weirded out by us all putting fingers in each others noses and yeah I'm fucking it all up gettin' posey or whatever

Day 2 of Universal, Islands of Adventure this time. Ride list for the day: Reign of Kong, Spiderman, Incredible Hulk Roller Coaster, and then Dragon Challenge and Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey at the section of Harry Potter World in Islands of Adventure. I believe we did Spiderman and the Hulk rides first and then headed over to Hogsmeade. Again... I just want to live there. Fuck. New life goal? Not sure about that one, might have to have a Harry Potter house. We'll see.

In line for Spiderman oh man Val this picture is so good

HOGSMEADE

I see you

I see you too (Charlotte pretends to have a conversation with Henry =k)

Sigh

Beer and fish and chips at the Three Broomsticks

Howgwarts my true love (also a picture of a lady taking a picture of herself =k)

Then we did a few more rides before heading back to the hotel to get ready for dinner where ANOTHER PERSON was going to be meeting us. My friend Jabir who I've known since I was 16 – he is on a motorcycle road trip and was also in Orlando. We went to Karen's Tasty Crabs and had some killer crab. We went back to the hotel after dinner and hung out a little before going to bed, it was time already to check out the next morning : (

On the way to seafood - I love these fuckers

Day 143 (Friday, January 20th)

Hotel bathroom pic

Sad day. Vacation over. I at least managed to get an awesome picture of all of us using the self timer on my camera phone and the bumper of our car (except that the one you chose is the one I took with my phone because the angle was better but yeah you did a great job here =k).

I love this so much

Val and Tyler were driving to Texas, Jabir was riding westward, and Karol, Henry, and I back to Henry's in Virginia. The three of us stopped at this beef jerky outlet in a weirdly modern/artsy mall.

Beef jerky for days

Ass blaster hot sauce sold in a little outhouse, adorable

Funky mall

We also found place to get some alligator in Jacksonville on the way back up, so we stopped there and holy shit. The meat selection and prices were unbelievable. We got some stuff for Henry's friends John and Jade and also stuff for ourselves to cook at Henry's one night. It was a long drive, over 12 hours. We stopped at a gas station in...I think it was South Carolina? And Henry had some surprisingly yummy wings and then when we were about to leave we saw a sign for alcoholic ice cream so they went in the get some of that shit. Vanilla Bourbon, Peach Rum, and Strawberry Moonshine. Spoiler alert it was all really good. We didn't get to Virginia until 2 am and we all thought we would probably crash immediately, but we ended staying up until 6am. I guess we like each other or something.

Meat sweats

Day 144 (Saturday, January 21st)

Home sweet home

Happy to be home to Dagen (as he sits weirdly on the stool =k)

We slept until... I think 1:30 or so and then later on took John and Jade their meat! These are some of their animals:

Bird city

Hank and Critter

COW (no points =k)

I feel like we ran some more errands...I don't exactly remember. I know whatever we did we had a wonderful time.

Day 145 (Sunday, January 22nd)

We went out again, part of the day's goals being to get Henry's mom a new computer for her movies and music. So we went to Walmart to do that and I think we also got drinks and maybe Karol did a blog post at McDonald's using the wi-fi? Probably. Karol and Henry set up the computer and his mom was elated. They gave her a quick rundown so she could play her movies and music whenever she wanted.

Welcome MothaFucka

We ate the ribs we got from the meat shop in Jacksonville and holy hell they were good. We tried this honey mustard barbecue sauce on some of them (we also got that from the shop) and yeah....drooooooool. Delicious.

And yeah, to end this post I just want to thank Henry and his mom for letting us stay at their place basically whenever and for however long we want. It really is a sanctuary for us, you're both amazing.
